Fizza Abbas
Fizza Abbas is a Karachi-based journalist, editor, and poet. She is a correspondent for The Diplomat from Pakistan, and has written for Dawn, Feminism in India, Women’s Web, Nation, The Express Tribune, News International, and other platforms, covering gender, culture, and social issues.
She is also the co-founder of Aurat Kahani, a platform amplifying women’s voices. Her work has been recognized globally, with nominations for the Best of the Net and the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition’21. She has published two books, Ool Jalool and Bakho, and her poetry appears in over 100 literary journals. She has collaborated with U.N. Women Pakistan, Penn State University, and the University of Warwick, and her investigative work has contributed to legal discussions.
