Shaoyu Yuan is a Dean’s Dissertation Fellow at Rutgers University’s Division of Global Affairs.
Shaoyu Yuan is a scholar and author specializing in international relations, Chinese foreign policy, and soft power. He is currently a research fellow at Rutgers University’s Division of Global Affairs. His research interests include Chinese Foreign Policy, soft power, and Sino-U.S. relations. Yuan is the author of two books and many scholarly publications. His work has appeared in academic journals such as International Affairs, Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia, World, and Nature’s Humanities. Yuan’s work has been featured in Al Jazeera, USA Today, The Hill, and The Conversation.
Yuan received his BA from Centre College, an MS from Northeastern University, and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University.
