Hyunmin Michael Kang is a doctoral candidate in department of international cooperation at Korea University.
Hyunmin Michael Kang is a doctoral candidate in department of international cooperation at Korea University. His main areas of research include inter-Korean relations, Korea-Japan relations, and East Asian politics.
He was a former editor for the National Human Rights Commission of Korea where he has worked on human rights issues in the country. He has previously written for various outlets such as the Huffington Post Korea on security as well as non-security issues related to the two Koreas.
He is a fan of urban history in Korea, and writes on various developments in the country including multiculturalism, labor movements, human rights, and the Korean wave. He is also an independent K-Pop producer.
